Ultrasound Assessment

(ULS)

What is an Ultrasound?

An ultrasound scan uses high-frequency sound waves to make an image of a person's internal body structures. Doctors commonly use an ultrasound to study a developing fetus (unborn baby), a person's abdominal and pelvic organs, muscles and tendons, or their heart and blood vessels.

Our Assessment

An in office ultrasound performed at Your Family Fertility can give you tons of information about your fertility options. An ultrasound can provide many details related to the uterus and ovaries. Sometimes, an ultrasound can provide answers to reasons why a couple has yet to conceive. This procedure is typically done with complete privacy and discretion to protect your privacy. It’s typically performed transvaginally.

What is a Transvaginal Ultrasound?

A transvaginal ultrasound, also called an endovaginal ultrasound, is a type of pelvic ultrasound used by doctors to examine female reproductive organs. This includes the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, and vagina. “Transvaginal” means “through the vagina.” This is an internal examination.
